St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church
News/Information:
- Let’s Wear Red for Pentecost
Pentecost is coming up next Sunday (May 24 ), and we’d love for everyone to wear red to celebrate! Red reminds us of the fire of the Holy Spirit and the energy of the Church coming to life. Whether it’s a shirt, scarf, tie, or even socks—join the fun and let’s fill the church with color!
- Helping every heart beat on!!
We are raising funds to purchase a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to keep our congregation safe. Please consider a “gift from the heart”. Donation envelopes are available on the table in the Narthex, and can be placed in the offering plate on any upcoming Sunday.
- Save the Date – Looking Ahead…
Well… we blinked, and the sign-up deadline for this year’s Memorial
Day Parade marched right past us! But good news—we’re already
setting our sights on next year. Please mark your calendars now for
Memorial Day 2027 and plan to join us as we proudly represent our
parish. We’d love to walk together!
- Fellowship Discussion: “The Chosen”
“The Chosen” takes an intimate look at the real and authentic lives of Jesus and all those around him through this historical drama. “The Chosen” brings the Bible to life. At each meeting we’ll present one episode followed by a discussion about the scripture that inspired that episode.
Next Meeting: Wednesday May 20 @ 2pm
- Altar Guild Needs You!
Looking for a meaningful way to be involved? We’re welcoming new
volunteers for an important ministry in our church: Altar Guild. This small
and dedicated team prepares the sanctuary for Sunday Communion, festive
services, and Services of Word & Light. Tasks and seasonal changes are
shared and supported, often done in pairs or as a group, with help from the Property Committee when needed. This is a meaningful way to serve and care for our worship space. Interested or have questions? Please speak with Jane.
- May Movie Madness: Rio Bravo – May 24th @ 2PM
John Wayne, Dean Martin: Wayne as a
Texan sheriff who arrests the brother of a
powerful local rancher for murder and
then has to hold the man in jail until a
U.S. Marshal can arrive……..tense
moments!
