Pastor Moira Ahearne, Pulpit Supply Pastor

Pastor Moira Ahearne, St. Stephen’s new Pulpit Supply Pastor, is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and came to New York to attend Manhattanville College. She received an M.A. in Theology from Fordham University, and completed a dual degree Masters in Divinity and Masters in Social Work between Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University in New York City. Pastor Moira has served churches in transition and program renewal in the greater New York City area for over 30 years. She has served as visitation pastor at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Jamaica, NY. She is currently a part time supply pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Freeport, Freeport, NY. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently works as a psychotherapist with Senior Living Behavioral Health, providing counseling services to residents in assisted living facilities in Nassau County.
Mason Griffin, Minister of Music

Mason Griffin is a musical theater accompanist, coach, conductor, and music director. He studied music at LSU with Dr. Pamela Pike, Dr. Jeffrey Perry, and Terry Patrick-Harris. In NYC, he has worked with LaGuardia High School, Amas Musical Theatre, MTCA, Jen Waldman Studio, The New York Film Academy, Applause NY, Broadway Classroom, The West End Lounge, NYU, CCNY, Sing for Your Seniors, and UNIS. As music director, highlight shows include: Naked Boys Singing! (Off-Broadway), RENT, Les Misérables, The Addams Family, Spelling Bee, A Funny Thing…Forum, Little Shop of Horrors, I Love a Piano, and Dreamgirls. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mason was the guest conductor of Louisiana State University’s annual spring musical theater showcase Singo de Mayo for six years.
Kate Lenzo, Parish Administrator

Barbara Barcavage, Council President

Barbara is a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s and has filled many roles during that time, most recently that of Council President. Prior to this she had served as Treasurer for 30 plus years. Barbara is a retired CPA, having spent 43 years in the field of public accounting. Currently she also serves as assisting minister, sings in the church choir and is co-leader of the Garden Group. When not volunteering at church Barbara can be found on her mat at yoga classes, walking at the beach, at book club meetings, rooting for her Yankees and in the garden.
